Selective Focus effects in Windows Photos becomes unavailable due to the update of Photos -> First Aid method

It looks like “Selective focus” functionality in Windows Photos (photo viewer) becomes unavailable when Windows Photos is updated to v16.1111.10000.0.

I could not find “selective focus” functionality in Windows Photos.

By the time that I find simple way to do the same, I tentatively use GIMP instead.  (I uses Japanses Windows, thus, my guess of English expression may not be correct.)

1

(1)Open an image in GIMP

2

(2)[Tool]–>[Select Tool]–>(Choose appropriate tool)

3

(3)Selected Range is specified by very thin line.

4

(4)[Select] -> [Inverse selected range]

5

(5)[Filter] -> [Blur] -> [Gaussian Blur]

7

(6)Specified Blur radius (The larger value, the more blur)

8

(7)The background is blurred.

This is just a tentative measure.  The boarder of the selected range looks unnatural.  Futhermore, since the blurred amount is the same all over, the blurness looks artificial.

I hope somebody let me know better way 😀
